Believe it or not, there is some good news this week.  Progress is being made in introducing people to the Just Third Way of Economic Personalism — which has the ultimate goal of the enactment of the Economic Democracy Act.  As our first news item, an interview that was only supposed to take an hour, went to an hour and a half . . . and CESJ was invited back as regular guests!  As for the rest:

Some interesting news items this week, although not interesting enough . . . which would be the case if we could get the Economic Democracy Act adopted.  Instead, what we have is a lot of the same old thing:

    At first glance, it sounds like another instance of President Trump standing up for the little guy.  That’s okay, we all need a little help, and the smaller we are, the more we need someone with immense power to take up for us and give all those fat cats and oppressors of the poor and downtrodden what-for and tell them where they get off.

We were rather hoping to have something to celebrate the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence . . . which wasn’t completed on July 4, 1776, by the way . . . but the Economic Democracy Act hasn’t been adopted yet.  That being the case, we’ll have to be satisfied with some of the usual:

Thoughts on the Fourteenth Amendment

The recent decision by the United States Supreme Court that the Fourteenth Amendment guarantees citizenship to “every free-born person in this land” raises some interesting issues.  First, of course, is the situation itself.  The concept of an executive order that creates law or changes the interpretation of the U.S. Constitution is, at least in the opinion of this writer, intriguing.
